DCSL offer a complete design, installation, and maintenance service. The system comes complete with a 10 year all-inclusive maintenance package. The maintenance packages include for all parts and labour required to keep the floodlighting system running and removes the worry for the stadium manager, but can also be bespoke to your club’s needs. Following recent floodlighting failures at various grounds where the games have had to be abandoned, it makes sense to have a maintenance package.

CASE STUDY: ALMONDVALE STADIUM, LIVINGSTON F.C.

 

Stadium lighting is the forgotten must-have part of the infrastructure of any modern stadium & is historically only maintained once it has failed. Although most floodlighting systems are robust, they still need a bit of TLC.

 

Maintenance of these systems is an absolute must and should be carried out during the pre-season shut down.

 

DC Lighting Services Ltd carried out the maintenance services on Livingston F.C’s Almondvale Stadium (formally known as the Tony Macaroni Arena) during the closed season. It was discovered that over 40 floodlights had failed prior to the work commencing.

 

The system in place had been developed over many years with the floodlights of three different manufacturers used. For this project however, DC Lighting provided all the maintenance required including a re-design of the existing system from scratch.

 

With Livingston F.C. requiring to meet the lighting levels for the Scottish Premier League (800 Lux), DC Lighting have provided switching circuits to allow lighting levels of 500, 800 and 1100 Lux. With the system now 100% operational Livingston’s floodlighting systems now meet the requirements of the SPL.

The health and safety of every supporters is paramount to DC Lighting Systems & Celtic Football Club and industry specialists, a medical expert and Epilepsy Scotland were consulted before installation, who have all given the lightshow their seal of approval. The lightshows do not contain any light sequences of unusual colours or frequencies that would raise concerns about photosensitivity among the general public. The shows all adhere to the strict guidelines for lightshows and broadcast media.
